Our Mission
The Moorpark Friends of the Library (MFOTL) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer community organization whose purpose is to provide financial support for programs and activities of the Moorpark City Library. These include a wide variety of exciting and innovative reading, technical, and craft programs for people of all ages. MFOTL endeavors to focus the attention and interest of the public on the invaluable community service offered by the library of today.
New Library Progress
Library construction is underway - the big shovels are making their mark! From these humble but very real beginnings, we are moving toward the goal.
A bit of setback with rain (if it's winter in California, right?) and off we go again, with thanks at Thanksgiving for progress.
The formal groundbreaking ceremony planning is in process, with a date likely in December or January. The event will be short, but the Friends are welcome to join, participate in photo opportunities, and promote the brick fundraiser.
Stay tuned for details on how all our supporters can enjoy this special opportunity to celebrate a significant milestone!
